My name is A.L. Segro and I've owned a salon for over 20 years. I've been a successful salon owner and I love the work - always have. I built my business on good old "Word of Mouth". My clients tell other people about me and my salon, and over the years, I've been able to provide an income for me and my family, but I wasn't able to grow my salon business so that I could realize my dreams and my goals. I made a good living, but hadn't figured out how to become truly successful. And this really started to bother me.

I tried advertising in the past and have always gotten very little for my investment. In fact, I always considered myself lucky to get my money back and I figured that at least "I was getting my name out there."

I COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE WRONG! I was spending money and getting NOTHING back. So, years ago, I just quit marketing and focused on doing good work.

The problem was I wasn't growing my business. I wasn't seeing exactly the kind of clients I wanted to see and I didn't know what to do about it.

That all changed in late 2008 when I discovered how successful business owners are building and growing their businesses in other industries. I couldn't find ANYONE in the salon business who knew what to do so I looked other places. 

It was then that Rem Jackson, who had been a client of mine for 20 years, casually told me what he had been doing to help doctors, lawyers, and small business owners literally explode their growth.  I told him that what he was describing to me would be fantastic for my salon.  Before I discovered the SMART AND RIDICULOUSLY INEXPENSIVE way that Rem showed me to grow my business, I was stuck with the same old tried and tired ideas that we've all been hearing FOR YEARS!  And those tried and tired ideas are still what are being taught:
       • Up-selling retail
       • Add-on services
       • Using your front desk person as your sales representative
       • Etc.

I don't know about you, but I would rather have a marketing system that just works without my having to be a great manager, or teacher, or coach, or whatever. I just want to cut hair, make people happy, and make me and my family wealthy. Period.
